How It Works

Joining Arab Women United as a volunteer is simple! Here’s what happens once you apply:

  • Apply Online
    Fill out the volunteer application below and tell us a bit about your interests and skills.

  • Meet Our Team
    Within 5–7 days, a member of our team will reach out to schedule a short introduction call to learn more about you and discuss available opportunities.

  • Get Involved & Stay Connected!
    After the call, you’ll be matched with a volunteer role that fits your interests. We’ll send you orientation details, add you to our WhatsApp volunteer group chat, and help you get started making an impact together with other amazing women in the AWU community.

1. Do I need any prior experience to volunteer with AWU ?

No experience is needed! We welcome everyone of all backgrounds and skill levels. Our team provides training and guidance so you feel confident and supported in your role.

2. Can I volunteer online or do I need to attend in person ?

You can do both! AWU offers a mix of in-person opportunities (for local events and programs) and remote options (like digital support, mentorship, and outreach). You can choose what works best for you.

3. How much time do volunteers usually commit?

Most volunteers give 2–5 hours per week, depending on their availability and the project. We understand life gets busy, your time and energy are appreciated, no matter how small.

4. What happens after I apply?

After you submit your application, our team will contact you within 5–7 days to schedule a quick intro call. Once you’re accepted, you’ll also be added to our WhatsApp volunteer group chat, that’s where we share updates, event details, and new opportunities.

5. Can I bring a friend or family member to volunteer with me?

Absolutely! We love when volunteers bring others along. Just have them fill out a separate application so we can keep everyone informed and organized.

6. Will I get community service hours or a volunteer certificate?

Yes! We’re happy to provide community service verification or a certificate of appreciation upon request for your contributions to AWU’s programs.
